Career Guidance Programs in Karnataka

CIGMA Foundation, a Career Guidance & Counseling NGO based in Bangalore is conducting “Career Guidance & Scholarship Awareness Programs” for the 10th & 2nd PUC (12th) students in every district of Karnataka. The CIGMA Foundation team of counselors, professionals & exam toppers led by Ameen-e-Mudassar, Career Counsellor is conducting this program.

We are all well aware of many facts due to which today most of the Muslim students are not able to get the best education & make great careers. One of the most important reasons is lack of career information & guidance on options after 10th & 12th. Also today there are several scholarships offered by Govt. & Private agencies which the poor students are not aware and due to this lose the opportunity to get good education. Hence, CIGMA Foundation has set out to fill this void with the following objectives:

1. To make students aware of the career opportunities available today & how to select them

2. To help them understand their personality, aptitude, interest & the current market trends.

3. To give them information about the available government & private scholarships

The first program was held in Bangalore on 11th April 2009 at Al Ameen P.U. College. The CIGMA Foundation team then visited Gulbarga on 13th April 2009, Bidar on 14th April 2009, Raichur on 15th April 2009, Mangalore on 18th April 2009 & Hassan on 19th April 2009.

The programs were organized in Association with Al Sharay P.U. College in Gulbarga, Shaheen P.U. College in Bidar, EFA Foundation in Raichur, Career Guidance & Information Center in Mangalore & Students Islamic Organization (S.I.O) in Hassan.

Most of the participants in these programs were students appeared for 2nd PUC & preparing for C.E.T 2009. These programs we sponsored by (1) Silverline Foundation, Bangalore (2) Al Ameen Scholarship Trust, Bangalore & (3) Beary’s Welfare Association, Bangalore.
